How Will We Live Together?
This is the main question of Venice Architecture Biennale 2021.
This study day brought together 50 stakeholders from more than 10 countries coming from architecture, landscape and urban planning world: practitioners, researchers and actors working in post-mining territories.
The seminar confirmed a need to create an international platform of transmission and knowledge sharing around post-mining sites. Working sessions allowed to define together the objectives of the network : production of transformation tools for mining/transition/post-mining regions; be a training platform for students, young people professionals; to be a bridge between the inhabitants and the actors from the professional world; raise awareness of the situation in mining regions and enhance the industrial heritage value. Those missions find all their relevance in the actual global context, while many countries are returning to green ecology, and therefore cease the coal extraction.
