3i Cross-border Collaboration ENSAPL, KU Leuven and Kent University 2021 - 2022

In 2022 the Chair "Acclimatize post-mining territories" has beein involved in a cooperation project between École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture et de Paysage de Lille (France), University of Kent (UK) and KU Leuven (Belgium) financed by I-Site Unversity Lille Nord-Europe. The project is aimed to have a post-mining discussion and capitalize the different expertise on post-mining and post-industrial territories. This study day brought together researchers, lecturers, practitioners to share the knowledge and diverse tools and methodologies aimed at developing sustainable and urban resilient territories .

Cross-border project between ENSAPL, KU Leuven and Kent University is founded by I Site Université Lille Nord-Europe

The project has considerably strengthen the research and valorisation exchanges of good practices between the teams from Lille (France), Kent (UK) and Leuven (Belgium). The main goal of the project is the developing of tools and methods aiming to improve our territories, in situations that combine heritage quality, urban green infrastructure, productive landscapes, environmental degradation, energy insecurity and social fragility.
